Effective September 2026

Clear rules. Safer local sales.

BGI provides listing space only. BGI is not the buyer, seller, dealer, broker, payment processor, shipper, appraiser, or guarantor of any transaction.

Rules for every listing

  1. Sellers must be at least 18 and legally able to sell the item.
  2. The seller must own the item or have permission to sell it.
  3. The price, condition, location, description, and photos must be truthful.
  4. The item and transaction must comply with all laws at the seller’s and buyer’s locations.
  5. No stolen, counterfeit, recalled, unsafe, illegally obtained, or misrepresented items.
  6. No spam, duplicate listings, deceptive links, gift-card schemes, or unnecessary requests for personal information.

Firearm parts and accessories

This includes frames, receivers, unfinished receivers, barrels, triggers, stocks, magazines, speedloaders, firearm-mounted optics, suppressors, and holsters.

Reloading components and equipment

Primers, powder, cases, bullets, presses, dies, molds, and similar items are ammunition-related or hazardous.

Restricted firearm items

Explosives and hazardous items

Explosives, explosive targets, blasting materials, fireworks, and bomb-making materials create severe safety risks.

Self-defense and prohibited weapons

Firearms and ammunition notice

Do not post a firearm, ammunition, firearm part, firearm accessory, or reloading item—even if the listing says “FFL transfer required,” “background check required,” “local sale only,” or “contact me elsewhere.” Do not use coded language, photographs, outside links, or another category to avoid this rule.

Seller agreement and enforcement

By submitting a listing, the seller confirms the listing follows these rules, the seller has the right to sell the item, and all information is truthful. A posted listing does not mean BGI inspected, authenticated, approved, or guaranteed the item or seller.

Suspected or reported listings may be hidden while BGI reviews them. BGI may approve, reject, edit, hide, or remove any listing and may report suspected criminal activity or an immediate safety threat to the proper authorities.

Buy safely: Meet in a safe public place when practical, inspect the item before paying, use a traceable payment method, and never send gift cards or verification codes.

These are marketplace operating rules, not legal advice. Laws and platform policies can change.
